Lisa is an Authorized Level I and  II (primary and intermediate series) Ashtanga instructor. She made her first trip to Mysore, India to study with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois in 1992, and received the former's blessing to teach five years later. While in Mysore  in 2009, Lisa was blessed to be with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois just days before he passed. During this trip, she received authorization from R. Sharath Jois to teach the full intermediate Ashtanga series. She visits India regularly to continue her studies.


With more than 20 years of experience in Ayurveda, Lisa is a seasoned practitioner and has studied extensively with Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Sunil Joshi and Dr. Robert Svaboda. In addition, she holds a Yoga Therapy Certificate from B.K.S. Iyengar, which she earned in 1996.


Lisa currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona and is the director of Ashtanga Yoga Phoenix.
